SuSE 10 Released

Novell has released the latest version of SuSE Linux 10, its Linux distribution . It is the first Novell distribution to have been built under its OpenSuSE community model. The distribution comes with GNOME 2.12 and KDE 3.4.2 and includes more than 1,500 open-source Linux applications and packages that can be optionally installed for Web hosting, application development and home networking.

Next Version of Content Repository Standard: JSR 283

JSR 170 compliant Connectors for EMC Documentum

Day Software, a provider of global content management and content infrastructure software announced a series of standardized connectors for leading legacy repositories with Documentum be the first to implement the connector. Connectors will enable enterprises to access and manage all content through a standardized API, allowing implementation of content access, search, versioning, synchronization and consolidation, leveraging future-proof standardization. Other connectors that are in development include interfaces for FileNet, OpenText LiveLink, Microsoft SharePoint, IBM Domino.doc, Software AG Tamino, and Interwoven, among others.
